SA Flavor is proud to produce this beautiful 2019 Fiesta Medal for the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. As a family member of the gardens for almost five years, we have loved taking our little ones, their cousins and friends out to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens (especially to the gigantic new area where they can go out and play with rocks and sticks), so I am so honored to help design their medal! 

The organization gave us a limited amount of their San Antonio Botanical Gardens Fiesta Medals to sell online on their behalf. You can also pick them up at their gift shop to the left of the new entrance!!!

If you've been to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens you know that a lot of their volunteers use those little red wagons to transport plants around the grounds. But did you also know that in the past it was a tradition for their Viva Botánica Official Fiesta Event for children to decorate their wagons and participate in a parade? This tradition has been on hiatus for the past several years, but the staff is bringing it back as they were inspired by this super cute San Antonio Botanical Gardens Fiesta Medal!!!! 

Their medal features two brightly colored flowers along with a poblano and tomato plant in the middle—this helps showcase home gardening in addition to furthering their mission with Culinary Health and Education for Families (CHEF) programming, providing families with the knowledge and the skills to prepare healthy food at home.
