Community Medals

$ 12.00
Regular price $ 12.00
Texas Public Radio looks to the San Pedro Creek for this year’s Fiesta medal.  Featuring an armadillo, or “TPRmadillo,” and flowering cactus, the medal is designed by San Antonio artist, Isabel Ann Castro. The cactus is a reference to the purple cactus along the creek, near the Irma & Emilio Nicolas Media Center, TPR’s headquarters.
Isabel Ann Castro is an illustrator, zinester and organizer from the south side of San Antonio. Self-proclaimed “Queen of Tacos,” Castro creates digital illustrations and zines that reflect her city, family stories and pop cultural influences. She co-founded St. Sucia, a Latinx feminist zine and San Anto Zine Fest.
