Benjamin Ortiz is a full-time artist, illustrator, and designer known for capturing puro San Antonio—from beloved local spots to the people who make the city unique. His work blends classical technique with global experience and deep South Texas pride, celebrating the culture, flavor, and spirit of San Antonio in every piece.

One of Ben’s standout creations features Mexican Manhattan, the downtown Tex-Mex landmark that opened in 1958 and served San Antonio for over 60 years. Known for its neon sign, River Walk patio, and decades of tacos and margaritas, it closed in 2020 but lives on in memory. Ben turned his painting of the restaurant into a nostalgic sticker—honoring a spot that once felt like the heart of the city.
